This is a very interesting macro algae that actually builds a calcium carbonate skeleton. Its bright green color and unique shape make for a lovely decorative plant, though it's not the best choice for nutrient export. It's heavier than water and will root in the gravel.
One word of warning: it sucks down a lot of calcium and alkalinity. Make sure you keep it pruned or supplement accordingly.
