Hi I got this torch from a live sale in lax aquarium last week and saw that a head never opened up. Until today when I saw the polyps coming out of it would I be able to save the other head or is it a total loss.

If you sacrifice the head on the right, and cut more towards that head, maybe...but if it’s brown jelly, you’d be better off dipping it

if you're sure its BJD I'd snip it off as well.

I had a 2 headed torch with 1 head displaying BJD. I was able to save the good head by dipping the whole thing in Melafix: 10ml Melafix per 1L of salt water for 15 min
However the infected head did die... in the end resulting in the same as snipping off the bad head. Maybe it prevented the spread to the other head... but I can't know for certain.
