BTW…how did the glass got shattered?

For building stairs, all the glass I use is tempered so all the cuts and holes have to be made before the tempering process. The drawback of tempering makes any edges the weakest portions of the glass (that includes any holes). In this style of guardrail, the glass is anchored in place through holes. In this case, one of the the holes wasn’t in line with the plane of the others and I tightened it too tightly. I installed it and moved on to the next piece and it wasn’t until 20 mins later that it all of a sudden just popped.

When I was shopping it was 90+ a sq foot. I imagine it is much more now. I think slabs average about 60 sq feet.

Real baller would have done the whole wall though, jk.

Not sure. It’s was none of my business so I didn’t ask…lol. They did purchased the entire slab though.

That’s the perfect slab for over a fish tank. The blue veins are great.

You usually can't purchase slabs in partials, they make you buy the whole thing. Nice granite or marble can go from $3k up to maybe $15 a slab.
