Finally connected this afternoon. Got a DOS and MP60's. I owe it all @ashburn2k. Thanks so much for posting this.

I would've bought that mp60 in a heart beat if it was the quiet drive, and if I needed it...still a good deal. I highly recommend upgrading the driver. Way quieter!

I picked up a used MP60QD and it is quite a bit louder than the MP40WQD. Anyone know if the MP60QD is significantly louder? Has anyone compared the two?

I have and no it isn't supposed to be loud. Maybe just a bit due to the fan.
