I just upgraded to a Maxspect sk400 protein skimmer. Let's see how well it does. The skimmer cap float valve sensor is a big plus.

I just completed upgrading my tank setup.

Tank:
  • 70 gal glass
Lights:
  • Kessil AP700
Equipment:
  • Apex Controller System
  • Neptune EB4 Energy Bar
  • Neptune Trident
  • Nepturne Dosing pump for daily water changes
  • Apex Wave pump
  • Vortech MP10
  • Apex ATO & FM module
  • Apex Fish Feeder
  • Maxspect SK 400 protein skimmer
  • Neptune Gro light
  • Red Sea Reef Dose 4 - dosing pump
  • Ink Bird Wifi heater controller with Titanium heater
Dosing:
  • ESV B-Ionic
  • Red Sea Reef Energy (AB+)
Salt:
  • Red Sea Coral Pro
Mixing stations:
  • 2 5 gal containers
  • 1700 ml pulled form the tank daily
  • 1700 ml fresh salt water put back in the tank daily.

RODI:
  • BRS six stage RODI unit
  • 20 Gallon container for RODI water
  • RO/DI Flood Guardian (just ordered)
  • Waste water is split with a control value between the yard and the drain. 80% of the water goes into containers outside allowing me to use this water for plants.
