Our mission

DBTC: Sprung's Burning Bush

In an optimal world it would be a rule. But so many people bring non compliant containers or no containers or no labels that the clear lid part isn’t something we’ve wanted to make a big deal out of. But yeah if you already have the right containers please use those.

Regarding the question about labels being the same, that would only be true if you label covers the whole top of the lid, so please don’t.

The idea is members should be able to tell what the coral is by seeing it and reading the label from the top without having to pick it up on a crowded table to look at the side. You’ll still pick it up if you are interested, but at least you don’t have to pick all of them up. That’s the theory at least.

This is all just the way it has been. Josh can make new rules if he deems them worth trying.

I also have tons of extras of the clear containers, and I donated a bunch to bring to the swaps already that are in our “swap stuff” bins. But it’s much better if it’s all done before the swap.
Ok John’s not allowed to pick up frags at the events.

I think your cups had amongst the most effort. Nobody minds lol

Just if you can, choose a container that makes your corals the most visible

I typically use specimen cups, with clear sides but tops aren't clear, I like they fact the screw on and feel more secure.

By specimen cups it the ones they ask you to pee in lol. Just bought more last week. If it becomes a issue maybe they make clear screw on lids never searched for those specifically.
Yet I will try to see if they are available at a decent price in the future.

Yea i have one of his containers l've been saving for something special lmao. I will send a coral with it and charge a deposit to have the container returned.

Comparison between display tank and refugium Burning Bush. I ran out of space in the DT and moved the Frag to the sump. I noticed the coloration and density were different. Top right display/ bottom left refugium.

btw: what happens when these overgrow and no one wants them in the dbtc?

The more flow the more compact and bushy it is. The lower flow /light it tends to get large lobes and stuff

Different parts in my display grows it differently

It's just the newer better looking Chaeto at that point. There are plenty of reefers out there that have still never seen this. After your 2 dbtc distributions you can do with it as you'd like.

I transferred my frag to @Ayman today.

I think I selected transfer instead of give, can anyone help fix it? thanks.
