To be safe, I would said at least 3". Any smaller the survival rate is not very high.

Yeah I would say my elegance skeleton is about 2.5 inches long. I agree with Boun 3 inches is better for frag survival.

This was starting to get really sad looking - not opening up at all. I had recently changed out pumps so I think the change in flow made it unhappy so I just moved it 2 days ago and it seems much better now -- keeping fingers crossed! (Tentacles fat and short and can't see much of the green center yet).

You were right! It is very happy today!It should be fine. Mine does that once in awhile. I didn't move or do anything. The next day it was it happy self
