So after 11 months of having this tank up and running I finally did something about my super restricted return line. With a Varios 8 at full power I was getting just under 400 gph. That pump is rated at 2700gph... I didn't want to drill new holes in the overflow so up and over I went with locline

You measure volumetric flow rate with an apex probe, or some other cool way?

Being the plumber I am all I have to do is touch the pipe and I can tell.

I also have an apex flow meter but that just verifies.

You can't tell by just looking at the flow coming out of the pipe? That's disappointing.

You can feel the vibrations in the pipe and tell the flow? Cool!
