From the labels I’ve seen, G2 will have a QR code and say G2. ie “Red Sea Reefer 300 G2”Does anyone know if there is an easy way to look at the serial number and determine if the tank is a G1 or G2. Unlike the labels provided in this thread, mine does not have reference to a "v" - it is just a single string of numbers. Thanks
Yeah it’s in this thread. But I’ve seen two different labels for G2 tanksDidn't @robert4025 post what a g2 serial number looked like a little bit ago?
That’s just a generalization which is dumb. Have you used all Red Sea products? All Red Sea sucks.
Don’t care, it’s my opinion. I own a bunch of their junk. That’s just a generalization which is dumb. Have you used all Red Sea products?
If I said all of BAR sucks would that be a fair assessment?
I like their ATO and dosing pump, maybe their wavemakers. Other than that, no disagreement here.lol I have had three of their tanks ranging from g1 to g2. In fact the only product that stands out to me that I haven’t tried of theirs is there reefled.
So the answer to your questions is that I am very qualified in my assessment of their products.
They suck.
I’ve owned 8 reef wave 45s. 5 failed within two years over the last 5 years as I’ve upgraded tanks, which I replaced the motors for a wonderful $150 each.I like their ATO and dosing pump, maybe their wavemakers. Other than that, no disagreement here.
That’s what I’m switching over too. I’ll let you know if I hate/love itAlso read about ATOs failing. Will probably replace mine with the Hydros soon
Thanks for the more detailed explanation to your point of view. I can understand why you think they suck now.I’ve owned 8 reef wave 45s. 5 failed within two years over the last 5 years as I’ve upgraded tanks, which I replaced the motors for a wonderful $150 each.
Reefmat 1200 owned for 6 months and just replaced that motor with a new one from Ali baba that was $15 compared to the $50 they quoted me for a new one.
1 seam failure
3 times I got reef ab+ and it have shit growing on the inside it.
They have poor quality control in my opinion and thus if anyone asks me about their products I can say with all confidence that generally I find most of their products to be trash.
Which I don’t think is very dumb given my experience.
