Thanks for the update @ReyDeFarts. Did we decide the LPS grow out contest is over, or are we wrapping that one up this year as well?
I just posted an update.Thanks for the update @ReyDeFarts. Did we decide the LPS grow out contest is over, or are we wrapping that one up this year as well?
I’m going to put mine 1” from the water surface and blast it for 2 weeks. Stay tuned for a complete 180° on my colors in the next two weeks.I would like to close out this contest before the end of the year please. At this time, the only contestants still in it are:
@Darkxerox @derek_SR @Invictus & @Reservetank
If any of you would like to bow out, now is the time to do so.
Submit your final image here in the next couple weeks. I will work on making a collage of your images for judging. I will also post the collage here for all the members to view.
Thanks everyone that participated throughout the year! It's been fun to see the progress throughout the months. Get ready for the 2025 growout contests!

In all seriousness though, I think it will be pretty easy to see that I’m last with the setbacks I’ve had, but I’m glad to still be in it. Not giving up. Top 4!
I believe @Arvin R may have some. I'm not sure if @under_water_ninja already sold his remaining frags.Is there any frags of this still floating around?
That really took off last couple months! I’ll post mine tomorrowMy final picture as a non-contestant. This was really fun to see how the same coral can react in different tanks, lighting, flow, ups and downs. I mounted mine nearly horizontal which created a different initial growth pattern than others that mounted their frag vertical which spurred a bunch of new shoots from the base. Even for mine, the main branch remained nearly the same size and all growth was from new branches. Thanks @ReyDeFarts for putting this on! It encouraged me to take more pictures to track progress for other corals. And thank you @Dan-sf for sharing this beautiful coral.
