FYI, I went to Taobao.com which is like the Amazon of China and found these A8 lights for sale too. The differences between the models are clearly described.
A8S: Cree leds, Meanwell power supply. G5 LED layout.
A8SE: Chinese brand LEDs and power supply. G5 led layout.

Interestingly, there's actually also the A8s Pro version using Cree LEDs, Meanwell power supply, but also latest G6 LED layout. This version is not yet available on Aliexpress.

Yeah basically the A8s uses the best components which should be as good as all those in XR30

@Arvin R has both, side by side. I believe he mentioned a plan to sell the Radions and purchase more of the A8SE’s. Most reviews have been positive.

I compared the A8SE I to XR30 G5 pros. Very happy with the A8SE so far. No idea how they will hold up long term. I also have a A8SE V2 sitting here that I will be adding onto the tank at a future date. Currently nursing 2 SPS pieces back to health after receiving them severely bleached. Once they are good to go I'll add the V2 onto the tank.

Speciosa and an Aussie Pink Highlighter. Both were pretty much fully white when I got them last week.
