I don't chase trends, I use what I feel works the best and that is what I buy :)

I got you all beat. My 4' x 5' x 16" has had the stand built for over 4 years now and it's never seen water  Or rock :(

Sitting on 4.5yrs on an empty tank that just was placed on the "new stand" last night at approximately midnight. Oh wait, I did water test it about 3 yrs ago does that disqualify me?

No build thread since I have no idea when I'm actually going to fill it (talk is cheap).

I could very well be wrong on how old it is.... I got it when Aquascene still had like a year left till it shut down. Anyone remember when that was?

Hey Gresham...now I don't feel so bad with my "slow" build.;)

I feel you are right on pace actually. Doing a 450 is not something you want to just jump into.

It would take me years to get a 450 of my own up :lol; If it was for a customer that would be an entirely different situation.

I wish I was installing the FRP and finishing the plumbing on the tank. Instead, I'm finishing up some electrical and installing smoke dectectors (among other things) on the house so we can get our final inspection passed. After that there should be alot more progression on the tank build...stay tuned true believers !

that would save me right now. I wanted to plumb it this weekend in fact :D

Let me check at home and pm you later tonight. Don't think I gave it away but need to make sure it is threaded. Pretty sure it is. may even have a Sch 80 one.

non threaded is fine. I was just trying to match the other one I have on the tank. Heck, I could just remove the second I guess since the 120 is going to be driven by a Eheim 1260 or 1262. I hate pushing too much water through my sump now. I used to do that but those days are long gone.
