Here's a pic of some black acrylic frag racks Gen made for me.

I made a Tap Plastics run and picked up some acrylic cleaner and cloth. I was looking at the Novus to buff out some scratches on the frag tank, but it was pretty expensive. :O I also picked up a 7/16' acrylic drill bit to drill holes for the frag plugs.

They have an affordable Novus kit that has 1 - 3 and cloth. But you probably need the bigger bottles because you have more acrylic than me. :D

John,

I saw some pretty good deals on Ebay + the buffer drill kit.

Merry Christmas to you and yours. :santa:

Novus = car wax... I used McGuires.

A simple pulley system should do well for you. Its behind the scenes so its not as important to look really nice. However, you have gone all out for this system so why not do the actuator as well. haha.

You're making hard to not go w/the actuator. I'll have to pick Ed's (DrDooLittle) what else I need to put one together.

Look for my thread here on BAR. If you have any questions, I've designed a rather nice automated set-up :) I may even have an extra linear "track" actuator around. I know I have several linear actuators around. everything is brand spanking new :) PM me if you want to talk actuators or want to check mine out (for purchase)

BTW HD has those microfiber rags on sale really cheap. I think 24count for $12?

hey jim........... that truck looks like its a go from the email i got but i will know by friday if the down payment is in my acct,LOL

if you need anything else help wise let me know, i just need this $$$ real bad right now, i have a few welders if you need the rack finished if its just a simple box(l box) shape you need

Hey Jim, do you have a sketch posted in the thread of what your thinking in terms of how the movement will be and how you want to construct the frame? You mentioned it was swinging out, would that be towards you if your standing in front of the tank? Horizontal?

what do you mean by "swing" though? To me that means one corner will be the pivot point and it swing out over your head.

Wouldn't it be better to have it slide out over head, or is that what you mean? Not trying to be nit picky, just trying to get it clear so i know which of the actuators I have to design this around :)

Ohhhhh so like Steve Weast did on his tank :)

Hmmm OK I guess I just need to know how far out it he wants it to go. That determines the size of the linear actuator.
