Got a Lemon Peel Angel for my reef

Well it does look like an angel..Petco does sell alot of lemon peel tangs which employees mix them up alot the the lemon peel angels lol since they do look identical

My last Angel was a Flame angel. I had it almost 20 years ago.. at the time, my aquarium was heavily forested with carlupa, which work really well for keeping water quality high. After a few weeks, the flame discovered that the carlupa was edible, and he completely cleared the aquarium of all traces. I haven’t been able to get any locally since…. Hint, hint, ping me if you can share some for my sump.

Anyways after the flame polished off the carlupa, it died. It just couldn’t get enough food. I’m expecting this Angel to do the same, once he discovers it, he’ll polish it off and I’ll have to give him away to someone with more available food.

I haven’t found anything that grows as good. If you have a suggestion for a leafy macro algae I’ll take it.

I’ll be coming to the fragging event on the 23rd, and will have a bunch of frags of a nice hammer. Would like to get some macro algae if anyone can bring some.

Not legal at all in the state. They would be fined if discovered.

No luck with the Lemon Peel devouring the purple mushrooms. It sure seems like the Angel has made friends with the Royal Gramma and the Possum Wrasse.

Well, the Lemon Peel angel hasn’t eaten any purple mushrooms. A great fish, but I can’t keep it, my tank is too small for something this active.

Daymn. I’m sorry for recommending angels for eating mushrooms. If you want, I can take your live rock. My blue face will eat the mushrooms.

That’s a thought, move the rock. I think it would be pretty disruptive for the rest of the tank though.
