There's something seriously wrong. The skimmer completely filled the collection cup to the top in less than three hours.
because your organic load went way up when you killed off a lot of your tank with the dosing.
What Tony said.

And that's also why people get variable results when using Chemiclean.

If you kill off enough cyano, the decomposing organics can drop your oxygen levels down low enough to cause a tank crash.

If your cyano isn't so bad, you might not notice a problem.

Hey, why not just add some sodium metabisulphite?
Neutralizes Potassium permanganate, which is probably what Chemiclean is.
Not KMnO4.

KMnO4 is purple black. Chemiclean is white, and not as strong an oxidizer.

yes very very sad!!
those animals are depending on you!
i know that this is not the first time that such a situation has occured.

take out all of your filter media!!
carbon is only good for about 3 days
change 25% every 6 hours if you have to
blah blah blah...

it reminds me of when my father would tell me driving a certain way would ruin his car and he was always right and I would still drive the same way.

now you are talking!!
new water should be "ideal"
proper pH, elements and clean
you can change water every day
the solution to polution is dilution
now get it in gear and fix your tank!

There were some curly silver guts at the base of one of my Frogspawn colonies so I stuck it in a pitcher of water and drip-acclimated it to my BioCube 14 and immediately it perked up. My rhodactis have been closed the whole day and are looking pretty bad. Should I acclimate them to my BioCube 14 also since it's currently more stable?
