Hydor korilia running in reverse?

I have a hydor korilia pump that started running in reverse.
It's on a wave timer alternating every 60 seconds.
Anyone ever seen or heard of this?

mine does it. Seems to switch between forward and reverse.

I read some posts about this awhile ago with others that were operating them on timers and wavemakers. I think that constant full stop and start is a problem for them.

I think it's related to the cold start from the switching. The actual korallia wave maker controllers don't switch on and off, but switch from high to low flow.

One of mine did this; it’s a very common problem. The newer koralias have an “anti-reverse” feature on the cage that’s supposed to prevent the issue but mine had broken off in regular use (less than 6 months).

You might be able to fix it with a dab of cyanoacrylate. *Carefully* take off the cage to see if anything has broken off or cracked inside. Turn off to pump first of course!

The other option is to try and contact them directly and ask for a new cage w/ the anti-reverse feature. Good luck with that; they totally ignored me when I tried to contact them.

I did notice the cage was cracked. I bought a new pump but perhaps I can still salvage the old one.
