I think i might have confused myself with the BOD meeting today. You suggested Rich would be a good choice above! Someone already suggested Joe C.
Yes in past I have suggested Rich. My vote still goes to someone like Dr. Tim.

If we can have Dr. Tim I think it will be very useful session to bar. he can talk about the cycle and cyano/diatom.
Are we shooting too high...by suggesting Charles Delbeek or Julian Sprung?
Whatever he can cover. I think he can cover all in an hour talkSo causes/treatment of of cyano and did you mean diatoms or dinos or both?
NO way.Are we shooting too high...by suggesting Charles Delbeek or Julian Sprung?
Think big mike..think big!NO way.
Man dr. Tim would help you more than Mark. Mark is a regular reefer who is at marketing thats all it is...personal opinion..We are kind of a big deal.
I'd be happy with any. The selfish part if me would like to see Mark Callahan because I currently have a small algae outbreak.
I don’t think so, either would be awesome. Are we shooting too high...by suggesting Charles Delbeek or Julian Sprung?
Yes he did..that was awesome! When we had our behind-the-scenes tour at Steinhart last year Charles Delbeek gave one of the tours!
I'm looking for a treatment for chrysophytes that won't crash my tankSo causes/treatment of of cyano and did you mean diatoms or dinos or both?

Randy Holmes-Farley (if we can get him)
I think he could expertly address the way "Reef Chemistry" affects our tanks.
For me the answers are:Why do you want a speaker? What does the club want to learn that those that attend don't have some insight into? How will what the speaker discusses make a real difference? That's the questions to ask. Consider who will attend. Their general level and areas of expertise, and then target the person of the most benefit. If you're going to bring in an advanced subject speaker how many will get real benefit?
For me the answers are:
Because speakers are educational and fun
I’ll listen to just about any of them talk about whatever they know a lot about, it even just tell stories and jokes.
If one member gets a good benefit that enough for me. Ideally more would Be better, but anyone that wants to know about a subject enough to make a speaker happen is reason enough to have a speaker.
