Hey Link,

Just readin' a lil' of your journal, and you seem to freak out a lot! lol

Anyways, did you get a chance to test your fresh salt water mix? Salinity, Alk, CA, Mag.

Also, I have a larger system, so I opt to make my own 3 Parts using BRS stuff. Before, I usually like to use ESV B-Ionic 2 Parts + Mag, 1 gallon of each... this would last you a while for small tanks. Everyone's tank is different, but for reference to my 120 gallon with like 10 frags SPS, 10 frags LPS, and a decent amount of softies, I dose 50 mL Alk (ESV B-Ionic), 70 mL CA (BRS), 150 mL Mag (BRS). I am going to finish the switch to new Alk mix from local LFS using Soda Ash, and he said I will probably dose double to what I did with ESV stuff.

Yea. I used to freak out certain stuff. hahaha I learn a lot of mistake and stop getting into trouble. Best part about learning is to be in a mistake, right? I'm thinking of switching to Sodium Bicarbonate for Alkalinity dosage when I'm done with the Kent Marine pH buffer. I need to really buy magnesium lab kits. Should I b concerning strontium too?

For my old lighting fixture, can I save the fixture? Will it still work? I know the ballast goes bye bye, but I'm sure I should save the fixture right?

THANK YOU to Chris, Rich, and Cole at Aquatic C, SF for your support. My stress had funny gone from this horrific nightmare.

Nice to see you fired it up! Hope the palys and corals open up in joy. As far as your old fixture, just wipe the salt off of it, put it in the new fixture box and sell it on CL.... j/k.

My Green Red monti-cap didn't make it... :( It never open up since the day I have my new light. I'm so mad and sad at the same time. I feel so guilty, and tried everything i could to recover it, but it didn't make it. Every other corals had fully open and recover though.

just FYI cool coral but in a coral heavy or semi heavy tank you may be unhappy... they tend to have huge long sweepers and can sting other corals... just what i have readd, thought about them in my 14g BC, decided to pass....

well you know... its like a torch coral sting... they both can withstand both. I read it in a book. The Simple Guide to Mini-Reef Aquarium. Its a pretty good book.

I have one in my 100 gallon and the sweeper tentacles are at least 6+" I keep other corals spaced out at least 8". I would not recommend a galaxia for a nano tank.
