Max’s 30 gal

FedEx still hasn’t come, my normal FedEx deliveries come really late in the day but I expected this to arrive earlier since it’s priority. Fingers crossed it’s all fine

Weather is pretty mild, should be fine if it was packed correctly. I just got my battlecorals order about 30 minutes ago. Water temp was 72F.

UC order had a cooling pack and also came chilly. Better than the alternative of a boiled bag.
I was worried it would come while I was on a call and I would miss the hour doa window, but now I’m free to open it upon arrival so I’ll be covered in the event I Have to use that DOA policy

I got

- Hot Haven
- Happy Glamper
- Rocket Sauce
- Blood Bank
- Backdraft
- Hyperberry (I actually wanted Kenberry, but he might not have had it)
- Mothership (freebie)
- Crystalis (freebie)
Seems like mostly reddish colors. I’m interested to see the hot haven after a few months in your tank it looks bright

it must be less expensive to get non clear bags in the thicker plastic, but it makes it difficult to see if the water is cloudy or not. So far everything looks good from the second order. This 3 headed torch looks more like an almost 6 header so I’m happy.

Trachy garden and torches are looking good! I’m impressed with this eBay vendor. That torch in the post above was $20/head and I ordered 3 but got 3 heads splitting to 6 total so I’m blown away at that pricing. These mini trachys are also super low priced compared to anything I’ve seen locally. They did have some pests but that’s why ya dip.

And now for the biggest lie: these are the last corals I’m adding for awhile. Gotta leave room to grow

endeavor aquatics from Texas if you wanna check them out. Service has been really nice too, they kept me updated on a tropical storm they were tracking to ensure a safe one day shipment. I only wish they had used UPS

What pests did they have ?
Little bobbit I think, some sorta nasty little worm that wasn’t a bristle worm. And then a bunch of Vermitid tubes, they had been cut at the tops but I removed all the tubes to be safe cause I hate seeing their mucus nets.

That too, but worth it. Check out the feeders on this bad boy. Not sure if these are really trachys but they have a cool feeding response so far.

Any suggestions for making the flow less one sided? I currently have the Nero 5 circle in red on the right and a surface skimmer which doesn’t push much circled on the left. I’m considering centering the Nero so it flows through the middle but I’m trying to avoid directly blasting things from a single direction, I might get a second Nero but am unsure where it would benefit to place two

I’m thinking I can move the Nero down low to hit the bottom and keep detritus from setting too much and add a gyre in the center near the top

Or get two gyros, one at each end, one points bottom and other points at surface.

I want to only have things on the back panel. Which I understand will make this challenging. I might do a Nero low on one side of the back panel and another high on the other end so that the mid depth is getting chaotic flow from the points the opposing flow meet. I’m just not getting much extension from the new torches and believe the flow is the problem
