Missing Ranco part

I received a ranco temp controller but the temp probe dod not come with the waterproof sleeve.

Any suggestions? I'm contemplating shoving down an airline tube and doubling it back: like a U-shape

I used heat shrink tubing and silicon.

Airline tubing will work too...just put a dab of silicon at either end to seal it.

Have you guys checked out the inkbird controller? Ranco seems very “diy”.

They also sell marine great shrink with the glue that seals it.

I considered silicone and glue but deemed it less than fail proof. The other 3 ranco i have have a clear heat shrink that is crimpted at the end.

I will look up the “marine heat shrink”

FWIW i’ve relied on ranco temp controller for the past twenty years or so with out fail. My oldest one is going on 14 years. And the are very popular in the agriculture industry.
