What kind of salt mix are you using? I noticed mine cratered after I realized I was mixing the new brand too concentrated (e.g. my old one was 2.5 cups/5gal, but this new one was coming out closer to 2.2 cups). So it was causing the Mg to crash out of solution. Once I fixed it, there wasn't a problem.

I’m not clam expert, but they do uptake a lot of ca and alk so probably mg as well.
Could be a salt mix/brand issue as well.
1050 is def low, not sure what kind of effect that would have to be honest. Not sure I’ve tested any systems that low with a good salinity level before.
Sucks man. Live and learn I guess. Easy way to add mg if you don’t have an extra dosing pump head is to put it in the auto top off.
