Must Dos in San Diego???

view the cityscape from coronado island, it's beautiful.

la jolla and it's beaches are awesome.

scripp's aquarium at UCSD in la jolla

Birch aquarium @ Scripps isn't bad. Tidepools at the base of the cliffs below Birch/Scripps are fun to browse through. Definitely get a carne asada burrito, or even better carne asada fries (heart-attack warning). Other than that, catching a sunset on the cliffs is nice.

Thanks guys for the advice. Where do we get the burritos?
Well, we never made it as far as San Diego. Stopped at Scripps and never made it out of La Jolla. Talked with Mark, one of the biologists, about the restaurant business, naming fish, over fishing and various other topics, including their use of RN. Got good advice on other stuff in the area. I usually find that the best part of trips results from a personal connection we make with a local. Learned about a great sounding Kayak trip in La Jolla that takes you through 7 sea caves, seas permitting. Next trip. They also have swimming with sharks. Welllll, maybe not. Ran out of time before we got to SD. Worn out when we got home. Tomorrow we look for dolphins and blue whales. Thurs Catalina. Fri home.

Burritos from Roberto's on Miramar Rd (between 805 and 15, La Jolla Village Dr. turns into Miramar as you go east). Can also get carne asada fries there too. But the best is Lolitas down in Chula Vista or National City (south of SD proper).

They love RN at Scripps, especially after our last visit with them.
