It looks like there is a kickstarter project for a new algae scrubber built on a 3D printer.

While I use an algae scrubber and like it, this seems to be the new bubble based up-flow one.
There are mixed reviews on that. I have no opinion there.
At any rate, regardless of algae scrubber opinions, it is rather fun to read the proposal simply
because of the 3D printing.
