Not at all, but somewhere slightly more central than the furthest corner of San Jose would be more user friendly not only to SF, the East Bay, but also Sac.

Lots of nice parks/restaurants around there, my kid and wife had a great time. Food was expensive though

If it’ll be twice a year, wouldn’t it make sense to alternate locations? Like once a year in SJ and once a year more central to the other half of the Bay Area?
