Hello

I'm in the market for a good quality scanner that can read/erase DTC from Engine, ABS, Transmission and SRS, any input on a good scanner?
I own a Civic, sort of simple but my brother has a VW and has some SRS and intermittent engine codes, car has never been in an accident/bag deployment, just anoying.

Thanks in advance!

Look into ScanGauge II. Scans, deletes codes. Can easily program it to monitor various things, engine temp, oil temp, water temp, battery, mpg, etc. Costs the same if not cheaper than other OBD2 scanners.

You can borrow the one I bought for my car. Used Bluetooth to connect to iPhone.

I just got one off amazon, it connects via bluetooth to a phone, then you can use an app like Torque to read/identify codes, clear codes, etc. Cost $20 or so.

Thanks for the input; few years back, one was able to walk into Autozone, O'reilly and borrow a code scanner; law in California changed and now it's unlawful? anyway, I think having one is a great tool; I'll look into those units.
