Well, looks like Gomer beat me to it, but I will post this guy anyway. A rather fun critter.
About 2" long in the picture, but was about 6" long extended out on the bottom.
It has been in the tank for many months. Seems to be dying :-(
Little thin tentacles are about 2" long. Seems like a hundred when it was healthy, and snacking on a dead snail.
Dark green, but was originally covered in sand, held together by mucus.
Most of the tentacles are at the mouth end, but they are on the body as well.
And the tentacles can move by themselves.

How do i get this guy out of his rock?
Rock must go but he can stay.
It has been over two years since he was out of the rock and it was while I was "cooking" it to rid it of hair algae. Then it took him two months to come out.

turkey baster with hot water? Stick a dental tool under it's foot and lift?

How deep into the rock is it?

Gresham. It lives in a cantaloupe sized piece of live rock covered in green palys that I would like to get rid of. I think the chiton is very cool and I want to try to keep it. It has been in that rock for at least 7 years.
The rock has a network if tunnels.
For a while it was though that Saddam Hussein was living in there.
Clearly Saddam was able to get out.

Seltzer water? Not sure if he moves fast enough though that could damage him.
