so i counted the number of sponsors on R2R - those that have their own sponsor forum, and i get 128. per the humblefish dramas, R2R charges $400/mo. so thats $51,200 per month on those 128 sponsors, and $614,000 a year in sponsor revenue alone. display advertising probably brings in more. WOW!

Dang, $400/month is a LOT. Not for larger companies, but a lot of small companies seem to be sponsors.
I bet there are different fees for different size companies.

I have often wondered if key content people like RHF are paid also.

Not sure why the mixed feeling. BAR is local, and filled with links of other forums in many other threads..am surprised you even mentioned that.

Also I thought in BAR, there is a tendency to want to keep it small.
Thats not to say I do not advocate for bar outside bar, I really do..
