The one I picked up from you in 2020 is trying its hardest to come back from the dead. I am not sure if I should leave it alone or frag out the dead stuff.

I've had frags come back from the dead. Just need to keep things stable and in normal ranges. There is some rumor manganese may help gonis grow, but no one has ever had any solid evidence.

Get rid of the vermetid tubes if that’s what they are

This may help so it isn’t irritated constantly when the worms throw their webs to catch food.

Thank you guys! Sorry for derailing your journal.

tubes- They are the small type that grow out of light and underside of rock (I dont know what they are called). I had the goni in the shade to recover for a while. I will brush off the algae and vacant tubes.

Candy Corals Blazing Rainbow - I honestly don’t know why this doesn’t make its rounds and get in more SPS collectors hands. For me, it been one of the heartiest acros I’ve had and it has great colors! I got the original frag back in June of 2019, so I’ve had it a while, but when I started the IM75, I put in a smallish frag in Jan 2023. I may need to cut it back on some sides so it doesn’t encroach on some other acros.

Bring some to the swap! That's some impressive growth though and interesting how it's looking like it's tabling downward rather than up and out (unless it's an optical illusion).

It’s going both ways. It’s on a Tonga branch that is mounted at an angle. Has plenty of light there (350-400 PAR), so maybe is just growing with the “flow.” ;)

Corals’ ability to recover never ceases to amaze me. Here’s a BattleCorals Backdraft the Movie Table Acro. This one’s been through falling under rock and me not noticing for days, then it recovered, then it went through my bacterial infection phase twice, and then here we are. Red on this piece is pretty awesome.
