Hi all,
Looking back I have been on BAR for a pretty long time. Becoming fairly active in 2010 and worked on BOD as treasurer and webmaster.
It has been a great experience with a really good group of people.
But a year or so ago, I vanished. Apologies to my friends here.

What happened?? - Cancer.

The good news: After a tough fight, I am now cancer free! Yay!
But:
I have some pretty serious side effects that will take a while.
Tank is in terrible shape. I tried, and kept most fish alive, but it was tough.

My plan:
I am going to be shutting down my 240G tank and selling it off.
I am retiring and moving to Los Osos, near San Lous Obispo / Morro Bay.
Focus on getting healthy.
Then start up a new low maintenance 60G cube or something.

So you will see me back, just on the "Morro Bay" chapter of Bay Area Reefers. :-)

Oof! So sorry to hear you have been thru the wringer. So Glad you have made it to the other side and that you are heading down the coast to heal and live in that beautiful environment. Morro Bay, the spit, the estuary changing with the tides, the surf along the Strand, coast of Cayucos, Los Osos with its bakery and elfin forest - what a special region! And now you will have all that outside nearby plus a box of ocean in your new home. ️ ️ ☮️

Appreciate all the kind thoughts.

I do have a couple of really large beginner soft coral rocks. No surprise that the beginner coral survived best.
I was wondering if the club might want them, since it seems there is a frag workshop coming up??

Mark, I’m glad to hear you’re doing better now and things are looking up. You’ve been making me jealous with your Los Osos retirement plan for about a decade, and I’m happy to report you still are.
