with the start of my new build ive thought about changing the layout of my sump from what ive always built.
ive always built it with what I call a triple baffle then fuge then double baffle. its basically 2 bubble traps witha fuge in the middle, and the right has a weir to prevent large stuffs from getting to the pumps
but im toying with the idea of not having any substrate in the middle compartment this time. which would allow me to do double baffle then fuge then double baffle. I think this would enhance flow through the middle chamber and prevent detritus build up that happens between triples. and hopefully give me more luck growing chaeto with the better flow
this made me want to see how you guys have your sumps laid out.
