I've had lots of bristletooths over the years but finally came across this beauty. With all the gem fans out there, thought I would share in case you haven't encountered one before as an option to add a much more affordable spotted tang in your system. Loving mine!

I thought it was a kole. Nice looking fish. Have you seen this at an LFS?

Indeed.. hence one gracing my tank...

I originally thought this was a kole as well... and wasn't until talking to the LFS that they pointed out the spots as why it's not a kole

Yeah Kole have the facial spots, but lateral lines along the body. But the spots are similar in distribution distances which I can see why one could easily be confused by it. That said bristletooth tangs tend to be pretty chill, great fish.
