Sure do haha. The plan was always an upgrade so I made sure all the equipment would transfer over to a much larger tank. You have two 300w heaters in a 40?
That is a lot of heater for a 120g. How cold does the room get? What kind of heater?I can't sustain temp in a 120G system with a 1000W im sump. Needed another 300W in DT
It's an unheated detached office. Not bad if i keep windows closed but if i leave everything open, it's essentially an outdoor tank. So same temp as ambient temp outside. That is a lot of heater for a 120g. How cold does the room get? What kind of heater?
On the coldest days here in Almaden (low 30s), my 190 in the garage (uninsulated) can stay at 78 with a 500w.
I like your shims. The tank is up and water is being made.
This garage is almost 2” out over 6’ so it’s shim city under there haha. Once it’s full and settled I’ll be hacking them off and putting a kick plate on the bottom to hide it.I like your shims.
For random reefing stuff.....such as beer.....haWhy the extra space on the side? So that you can upgrade to a 200g down the road?
We shall see.....Maybe ask kessil to sponsor you those fancy A500x ?
Those disappeared so quick haha. I’ll let you know on the next round.I’ll come fill it right quick for one of those hammers if you have any left
All good. Figured they would.I’ll be by you Thursday if you need anything. Those disappeared so quick haha. I’ll let you know on the next round.
Going barebottom?Well the tank got some vinager soaking and rinsing and now it’s passing a leak test. Figured I’d wash the dry rock in this rodi before draining since it’s easy enough. Got some cement coming that I’ll be making a couple structures with.
No. Honestly I don’t see the appeal, imo it looks way worse and there are proactive ways to keep a sandbed clean and the bare bottom gets crap on it as well so I much prefer the sanded look.Going barebottom?
