Ok so using you math, my garage is 43 degrees, so I would need over 1,000 watts of heat. I have insulated my tanks and only run 250 watts and my heaters have no problem keeping the temp. steady.

Mike, order yourself an aquatop brand heater with the seperate digital controller and temp probe. They work really well in my experience.
