The committee is locked in and submissions are open!

Everyone should have access to edit columns A/B/C to add your submissions OR you can submit in this thread directly if you don't feel like editing the google doc above.

I will periodically lock columns A/B/C to prevent any switcheroos.

Keep in mind the intent of this process is not to build an all-encompassing list for all future swaps. Please only submit corals that you intend to bring or are considering bringing. Part of what I want to accomplish here is some visibility and excitement about what people can expect to see in the Ultra round, which will hopefully encourage more people to bring awesome coral and participate. We will reset the list to zero and start the process over for the next swap.

I must say this system has a great feel to it! Running smoothly and transparent great work!

be nice to join the swap but how does this work if I have no clue what these things are called?
I meant dont worry if you have ultra or bonus frags. All frags must be properly labeled and in good clear containers. We can start a thread for coral identification for the upcoming swap.

I am adding a couple to the list shortly. I think bowerbanki should be minimum bonus no matter what it is. And any higher grade (i.e. war paint, bleeding apple, etc.) considered for "ultra" status automatically.

Micromussa lordhowensis? What is our plan for grading those as bonus vs. ultra? Normals I would consider single color. 2-3 colors as bonus. 3+ colors as ultra maybe? IDK, just trying to get a feel for that.

Micromussa amakusensis? HG micromussa is obvious enough for ultra status, so I'll likely bring a frag or two of that. But, how about others that aren't as well recognized? I think they should all be ultra considering their growth, availability, and the price they typically command. Tough to feel inclined to saw up colonies for "normal" or even just a bonus status.

This is a tough one, similar to jawbreaker mushrooms where it would be ideal to have a photo in order to vote whether that particular coral really is a bonus or not. However, photos can be tough for some people, and we've decided to stick with a broader approach, so the 2-3 colors, 3+ colors etc will likely have to be how we judge.

If you have a specific "1-off" coral which we are unlikely to be able to find photos of online, you can certainly post a photo and description and we can figure it out on a case-by-case basis. We wouldn't want to limit any super unique corals just because we cant picture what it may look like.
