Union fitting to barbed fitting

Hi,
What adapter do I need to connect this to a 20mm (~3/4”) soft tubing? I believe it’s a union and I need to connect it to a barbed fitting? Not sure what I need to buy. Sorry I don’t know much about plumbing.

What are you connecting it to? Can you show pictures of the other side of the union and what your connecting together?

Return pump line or a drain line?

Normally you can get a peice of pipe cut short to glue into one side of the union and a 3/4 barb fitting thats a slip fitting on the other side pipe should connect the two of them with pvc glue.

Do you know what size the union is? If it's a different size it might require a few more parts. Or it might be easier to rebuild that section of plumbing.

I suck at plumbing but have been slowing gaining a education from our resident professional plumber @Srt4eric. Though I would definitely still fail his tests lmao. I can now at least say I could do some simple reef tank plumbing tasks provided I don't try to get to fancy.

I’m missing that other part. I believe it should be a threaded piece that screws on to the union. This is for my Abyzz return pump. It is a Spears 1” union. The pump will connect to a 20 mm soft tubing.

Could a new 1 inch union work?

I'm assuming the red circle connects to the abyss pump. The missing part is where Grey circle is?

If so you just get a new 1inch union and forgot about the trying to match up the missing part.

Yea, I guess I can get another 1 inch union and buy the slip barbed fitting as you suggested.

you can get another 1” spear with one end slip and one end threade. Then add threaded barb,
