I'm just wondering how others do it. I'm changing about 12% of total system volume per week.

I have medium bioload, heavy skimming and prefer to change it every 2-3 weeks at 20% because I'm lazy.

Yea, I go with 10% every two weeks and check my nitrates along the way.

I try and change half the water volume per month spread out with once a week or ten day intervals.

I change 30% every 10days on home systems and 7-10 days on service accounts. I also feed alot. The solution to pollution is dilution ;)

I admit to being terrible at this - I would change about 10-20% once a month, to once every 6 weeks.

If it is in a sealed container and constantly mixed you are good for a coupld of months. The key is a seal container to keep in evaporation and to constantly keep it moving.

10% every two weeks seems to work fine for me.

I forgot to add that I also do a large water change 25% once every 6 months, this is when I clean out equipments/sump,fuge/anything dirty :D ... It is very important to match the make up water parameter to the tank before doing a large water change. Come to think of it, I have to do that this weekend ... yike !!!!
