Water mixing stations, Lets see yours.

Im in the process of designing a water mixing station and want to see what you guys have built.

mines going to be rather modest,2 10g white brute cans piped with bulkheads and a pump (also need recommendations on a pump) and a new brs 4 stage rodi + an extra carbon filter.

going to covert an old bathroom that was long ago converted to a pantry, so I have lights,power,water,drain, and a sink for wasb

RO feeds up top. Ball valve drains it into the bottom where salt is mixed by 2 gyres. Both fresh and salt water on tap.

If you go that route, make sure you get commercial wire racks rated for 800 lbs or more per shelf. Regular ones will bow under the weight of the water.

im just doing 2 10g white brutes lol. so 80ish pounds per shelf. the room im putting it in is very narrow so im going to have to make the shelving.

my goal is to be able to do easy 10g water changes bi-weekly. and have water for my ato

finally after several months delay I've made some progress.

ordered a danner mag 7 and 2 1/2" bulkheads from amazon

ordered another 10g white brute and lid from Ace.

and spent the morning routing the tubing with wire hiders.

and need to build a platform for the brute to sit on.

once it all arrives I'll make a trip down to ace for plumbing.

cardboard box is there to mock up the height of the platform the brutes will sit on so I can just open a valve and fill a 5g bucket with either fresh or salt

I have two 50g barrels since they are relatively easy to procure and a larger water volume means I don’t have to make RODI and saltwater as often. Instead of building a platform, I put the barrels on top of concrete cinder blocks from Home Depot. The cinder block platform is very sturdy and was cheap and easy to put together.

that is a damn good idea, cinder blocks are 16" L which is exactly what I needed. 6 will only cost me like $15 and I already have the plywood.

maybe ill even paint them white
