I couldn’t sleep last night, so I went to check out the tank at night. To my surprise there was a cloud of tiny critters that looked like fry at first. Upon closer inspection, they have two eyes and a V shaped tail. They swim backward and look more like baby shrimp. I have 3 shrimp, but they’re different species.

Any thoughts?

I only have one cleaner, one peppermint and one banded coral. No pairs.

Not sure that what you’re seeing is what you think it is. Cleaner larvae takes like 4 months to settle out is much understanding. Much more likely mysid shrimp.
That’s what I thought at first but upon inspection they were coming from the belly of the cleaners. Same way that my freshwater shrimp spawned so it was a semi familiar sight.

I think I caught this right after they spawned because there was a cloud of them in the tank. Didn’t see any the next day.

Here’s another video:

Even though you have 3 different type of shrimp, have you ever noticed eggs attached to any of them?

Nope. We did get a Pom Pom crab that had eggs when she arrived.

I have seen these in my tank before. I think they were from cleaner shrimp or peppermint shrimp. Both carried eggs under their bellies. But as others have said, probably mysid.

any survivors still?
