Will 2x Maxspect XF350's be enough for a 48"x30"x20" peninsula?

my tank is almost the same foot print as your new tank 48x30 and i use two jebao MCP-180 (wifi sync) at top of the tank and two SOW-20 at bottom back corner to move the water at bottom. not recommend this if you are not doing BB.

I'm probably going with sand. Tropic Eden Mesoflakes are my go-to flavor at the moment. Just enough to stay put in my current system with pumps going full blast.

I probably also won't have SPS throughout the whole tank. I'll have one island dedicated to SPS, but another dedicated to my Magnifica and BTA's. Sand to separate them will be key. So most of my SPS flow will probably only be in one half (give or take) of the tank.

Which tank? Lol. I use the same setup across several tanks. 48x18x24...36x36x20 to name a few.

I just realized that your tank is a peninsula so might not be as attractive... but in mine i have one gyre on opposite sides of each other near the surface and have them randomly fire. When they fire together, you get random flow /turbulence generated.

What size/flow would you recommend for opposing gyres on a 48" tank (mines 48x24x22h)? 2x XF330 is enough?

No idea. I have an XF230 and it was pretty much silent unless I cranked it up all the way.

I had a XF150 and I agree it did hum a bit. But my XF230, XF280 and XF350 have all be pretty much dead silent
