Started the transfer. Just one light for now and moved all my small stuff to make moving the bigger rocks tomorrow easier.

Been a long day. Hard to believe all that fit in the old tank. It’s already full in the 450!

Definitely bare bottom. I’ll never do sand again.

It might mini cycle but it’s all the same rock.

Shouldn’t be bad at all. I plan to throw in a bit of microbacter
Its dangerous subject to give advices...but..do not you think instead of adding new bacterial strain, it's better feed the existing bacteria?
Again this is dangerous so I cannot guarantee, but, I would rather dose bacterial food(some carbon) to support existing bacteria instead of adding new strain that might compete and prolong the transition settling phase..
Food for thoughts..

I do t have a good carbon source that I trust so I’ll probably just let it all be. There was a ton of rock in the old tank.

I really think it’ll be ok. But I’ve been wrong before.
Rooting for you bud.., if god forbid something happen I can host for you do not worry..

Pretty sure rsr250 is 3ft? Anyway still a significant upgrade. Congrats! Amazing speed at which you accomplished the transfer!
