If that's not a HD version Hydra 26 you can switch the LED pucks out to Luxdium ones vs buying a new light. If the rest of the internals are OK.

Interesting. Wonder how much of it would be intensity vs spectrum loss. Probably both tho I guess. Bummer man

And boom! Same damn failure mode manifests again. Come on Aqua Illumination!!

I've previously repaired this exact capacitor on two separate Hydra26's!

This time around, the capacitor dug deep - ripped a couple of layers of traces and FR4 underneath.

Will take this back up at a later date and attempt to repair the light once again - Now it is a matter of principal... Haha :)

@thesassyindian Give me some time and I can give you Rainbow Pocillopora from my tank. I have a lot of small frags on the back wall of the tank and I could see if I can cut a larger piece from the mother colony.
Thank you Nick - Don't frag it just yet. I will reach out to you when I am ready to re-introduce it into my tank!!

After a tank crash scare last week, I finally started taking the first of two remaining steps towards automation.
Set up the FMM/ATK v2 with a DIY reservoir.

Found these 5.8qt OXO Pop container at Target for $20 and decided to use that as a reservoir to save some $$$. (Why are ATO reservoirs so expensive?)

Drilled two holes through the lid for the pump power and water tube.

Next, for the siphon break, I printed a small magnetic bracket to keep it in place above the water line.
