I've never had one last more than 9-12 months. For a long time I was using all gyres, but finally gave up and went back to Ecotechs, which generally seem to last a decade.
Picked up one of these since my KH Guardian literally blew up
Thanks so much for sharing the code - unfortunately, this made me purchase one now, so I am already out of the memorial weekend sale game.
@Thọ Key - will need to get the 3d printed platform from you now for my stand.
Add a second membrane too!I ordered a new 4 stage rodi from brs 25% off.
my old one from my previous tank 15 years ago fittings and tubing had all become brittle and gauge had broken among other things, the cost of refurbishing was near the cost of a new unit. so ill harvest a cannister off the old one and add a extra carbon block and have a brand new 5 stage with all the bells and whistles like a digital tds meter.
I just bought two of these that fit into the ecotech cases but give 4x the lifetime. Requires a little soldering to make the connections but hard to beat the price per watt hourFor anyone looking for auto battery backup. This new release from Anker is $599 pricing for the next few days. This runs my 65W return pump at 25% for 60-75 hours assuming the battery runs at 90% efficiency (theoretical max runtime is 80-100 hours but don’t depend on that). The battery comes on automatically during a blackout and recharges automatically when the power comes back on.
I will buy this next week because I have had two blackouts in the last six months when I am not around to power up my generator! One blackout during Xmas break and now one during Memorial Day weekend! Tank should be okay since the power is expected to be on in 2 hours and I will be back this afternoon.
