The chiropractor's displays were always on point. I couldn't afford much from his shop back then but always went for inspiration. Those days I spent a ton of time at Sun Aquarium helping the owner with shop tasks in trade for great prices and friendship. Going to the airport to pickup shipments...
I go by taste lol but I also use my rodi as drinking water. It gets a slight metallic taste when it’s time to change out anion. It usually happens before the entire canister changes color so I assume the water needs more travel time and change it out.
430 entering is around what I get in Livermore. Maybe time for new membranes? The center canister in the picture is only giving half as much travel time through that resin as the other half is spent.
It seems they may have increased the price recently. I think I remember it being closer to the 800 number. Still not a cheap purchase but you also don't have to spend on replacing the disposable razor blade or reagents.
I suspect Charles knew they were using uncured concrete and acted accordingly while I should not have assumed AF rock is cured or acts like other brands of dead rock. For example, does Carib Sea Life Rock act like a reservoir that leaches alk?
AquaForest AF Rock
I see this week another reefer ran into issues with this rock driving dkh way up. RHF thinks it is uncured cement which is adding the unexpected alk.
I have some still in the box if anyone wants to mess around with it.
Couple of no name granulosa. Small little boogers.
What is the name of the vendor that is at the entrance immediately to the right (if walking into the room)?
Me either on the doc or sci front.
Good to know about the small amounts!
I am really good at not testing phosphate... Like pro level good. I should see where its at these days I suppose.
Whenever I read "scientist" I am reminded of a funny movie scene in half baked. :D Sorry got sidetracked.
The instructions you posted also suggest protective eyewear in the 4th bullet point. How often are you testing phosphate with the hanna checker these days?
I could be way off here- I am not sure mine goes in reverse. I think it is an on/off situation. ON empties the box while OFF allows water to overflow into the top of the box and also back in through the lower port the pump is in.
Somewhat unrelated but I am excited to see more sea swirl type devices available and coming out. Tunze Orca seems interesting. Ocean Sea Wave is another.
