    Mike's 200 & 40 gallon tanks

Yeah I had the main colors back in the day, remember that red, orange and pink were basically all the same just levels of being bleached out versus super colored. Had a piece of the Forest fire at one time, never saw the bubble gum until the CFM and I mentioned it looked like the forest fire...

    Mike's 200 & 40 gallon tanks

Just putting some frags in a placeholder so I can see what happened in a few months. Purple stylo One given, one I bought, curious to see if they grow differently. I once saw a very knobby version of it, but most of the ones I've seen at frag swaps have been stick like in nature, like a...

    New BoD Member-at-Large Nomination

Well guess you don't need a member at large to be a frag swap coordinator, that's cool :)

    New BoD Member-at-Large Nomination

Less work for the BOD during frag swaps. That's my platform

So, what did you buy at CFM?

There was one guy there with a couple frags, can't recall the name, but they were not colorful at all (not browned out either), and he kept showing me pictures on his phone of the mother colony telling me how he has his frags off on the side of the tank so they don't color up as well and the...

    Blast from the Past...PC Lighting

I would just replace the socket with a square pin socket. But without actually seeing the fixture in question not sure if that's a simple task or an easy task :)

    Mike's 200 & 40 gallon tanks

So the other day was talking about taking pictures in the tank, and how top down under the surface of the water so no reflection is the absolute best. So I found my old Olympus SP500, nothing too fancy, not a DSLR, but it does have an actual adjustable lens, and my little homemade acrylic...

Volunteers Needed for the 2019 Regional Frag Swap

We will need tables, while they do have some tables I don't think it would be enough, at least for the corals. I think using their tables for the whole check-in/raffle/etc stuff should be more than fine. I think I'd like to use their tables as "emergency backup options" There's always a...

So, what did you buy at CFM?

It wasn't a huge deal and would have done it even if you weren't short handed but I did leave my wife at Ikea (she actually volunteered, just to get out of the house), and it was pushing 3 hours there when I finally left didn't know how much longer she could stand. Apparently my kid took an...

So, what did you buy at CFM?

Nothing, heck even left my shwag bag at the BAR table but that was an accident because my mind was on picking my wife up after helping clean up because people cancelled. All I want to know is when the hell did Colorado Sunbursts get to $2k?

Featured [Oct 19, 2019] Regional Frag Swap (San Francisco)

Hardly anyone selling on RC? Man that must have been some time back. The "Greater Bay Area" place is basically a Craigslist subforum for reef stuff.

    Borrowing the Club's - PAR Meter #1

@Oliver Think I'm done with it, so just send me a message and I'll arrange delivery. I see you're working the booth at the CFM but the 11am slot, and won't get there to 2:30/3. Either way SSF is local to me, so delivering is fine.

    Mike's 200 & 40 gallon tanks

Ok got my ballasts, hooked up my T5s fired them all up. PAR increase about 136% at the brightest spot. 250 PAR on the sand bed, 350s at lower rocks 400-450 at the higher rocks. Definitely much happier with those numbers, and the T5s are in 3 banks so they'll come on staggered so the max...

    Sep 2019 CFM

yes I did, buy a ticket that is. But I won't show up until way later, enough to see how close my numbers were to the winning raffle tickets but I don't want to wander around there for 3 hours either
