FREE 24' LPS Growout Contest - Dragon Soul Favia

Side view pic looks pretty much the same so here’s a top down progress shot. The mini head on the far right got eaten by amphipods, but it looks like there is another head growing at the top left now - addition by subtraction I guess. No other corals have been affected by the amphipods so far...

Filter roller - what's your take?

Maybe try this roller mat/protein skimmer combo? Looks pretty interesting: https://smarterreefs.com/products/2-in-1-auto-roller-mat-auto-protein-skimmer

What do you use to clean your sumps (and pipes)?

You could try using a dryer vent cleaning kit to clean your pipes if you don't want to disassemble your plumbing. Probably works best with new/clean plumbing and done on a regular basis, don't think it would be strong enough to knock off stuff with a hard shell like feather dusters, etc.

    What snail is this?

Do you have any Collonista snails? I got a crap ton of those in my tank I can get if you want.

    Thomas' CADE Reef 1500 S2

How is the overflow setup and loudness? Have you been having to adjust the gate valve a lot at all? Any concern with the check valve on the return line and how to clean it, since it looks like it is inside the ATO reservoir?

Pump head pressure charts - determining the correct water turnover

It won't let me copy and paste for some reason, but there is a section on loss of flow in this article: https://www.reefaquarium.com/2012/aquarium-plumbing-basics/

    65 gallon tank

I agree with raising your magnesium since magnesium helps prevent the excessive precipitation of calcium carbonate. Test alkalinity on Day 1 at a certain time. Test alkalinity on Day 2 the same time as Day 1. The difference between the two you could call your daily alkalinity consumption...

    65 gallon tank

Did you dump it in all at once or spread the dosing out? Adding too fast can cause precipitation which could explain the "consumption". Also, if you have coralline algae taking off, that could explain some of the consumption.

    Derek's 225g - Magnifica / SPS Reef

When you get a chance can you do a test of just Meso Blue Helix, just Reef Crest Daylight Helix, and then one of each (supposed to be similar to AB+ with one of each) and your opinion on the color of each of those light combos?

    Small Pump Recommendation

I put one of these small cheapo pumps in a section of my AIO because the water movement was on the slower side and there was a film starting to build on the surface. I'm trying to think long term and am wondering if this cheap pump might have the potential for leeching metals because of low...

    65 gallon tank

The flow looks ok to me in the 25% video. What's your phosphate right now? A few weeks ago you said you were getting .01, maybe dose just phosphate instead of feeding heavier since your nitrates are already high? I think your crushed coral substrate is also fairly new, so that could be a...

R2R Reef of the Month a local?

I think it's @gatohoser, I believe @ReyDeFarts distributed a bunch of goldenrod anacropora from him not too long ago. That's a nice write up in R2R, awesome looking tank and setup.
