Depends how thick. The thicker it is the more likely it will be that they refuse because thick glass is difficult to break cleanly.

I've got all the rock you'd ever need. Presoaked. Precured. Pest free. I can also toss some of it in my sump if you'd like, but then it will have red planaria.

I went very vertical in my tank and I still like it. Your mock up looks good. If you put the overhang a bit lower and give yourself some spikes out of the top of it you'll be glad you did later. You get a lot more room to mount sps with spikes than flat rock, but for a mixed reef a combination...

We used to pull up giant orange basket stars on halibut longlines off the aleutians. They are awesome, I'd fill a tote with water and toss any interesting critters in it. The basket stars eat almost anything!

Hah if it's tricolor valida now I have three frags of it. Someone gave me a frag "from boun but not doing well" last year. I picked up red dragon, blue tort, pc rainbow, a green chalice, blue xenia, and unknown tabling acro. Thanks for the frags, they seem to be doing great.

Hmm. I brought the scraps if it was an acro and two montis. Those are just run of the mill red planaria. Apologies if they are considered detrimental, I just ignore them. I'll write a warning on my frags next time. Tank doesn't have any aefw or red bugs afaik.

I do it because the results I get with ocean water are superior to the results I get with salt mix. Ymmv.
