After the initial annoyance with the WIFI, I have been progressing with the ultimate goal to have this dosing alkalinity automatically (or another Hydros connected dosing pump would do this).

The second to last step in this journey was to connect the AquaWiz with a Hydros probe port to show alkalinity in the Hydros app vs the AquaWiz app.

This was done with the dedicated BNC port on the device, which connects with the Hydros probe port.

The probe port will need to be set to PH functionality, then calibrated through the controls on the device (not in the app) for PH 7 and PH 10 signals.

Measured parameters seem to align well between the AquaWiz app and the Hydros app, so that I can rely on the Hydros app going forward. This also allows for better notifications as Hydros has more advanced features such as push notifications and audio alarm than the AquaWiz.

I wish I had the guide, so I am posting here, so I have added this here in pdf.

I have been using Fauna Marin’s Balling Light. But you can use All for Reef (or Ready to Reef) with this setup as well, but the consumption based auto dosing might need to be tweaked based on how this alkalinity solution works with delays I believe.

I can find out if there is interest, as I have read others asking the question on how setup this up with one part solutions.

The main point though is that you see your alkalinity development and can adjust your dosing manually (or automatic) with one device which you can control remotely.
Still wouldn’t trust this with AFR..

Not consumption-based, but regular dosing. Just chatted with a few folks who are using Ready to Reef with the AquaWiz and it works well.
I had to look that up. Is this new?
For the 250 ml bottle comparatively same as AFR price wise - Ready to Reef does come in 1000 ml bottles -more economical but still nearly 3x more in cost for the year-the upside would be greater stability perhaps as sometimes I notice the dosage sometimes changes near the end of a batch.

You mean Ready to Reef? This was launched in Europe around 2022, and in the US last year.

This should not be the case (dosage changes). Also, I guess AFR in powder form is cheaper unless they offer Ready to Reef in powder form by now, cannot remember. Both are equally good products and I know some folks who run very nice larger tanks with one-part dosing. If I had to start out I would go with one part until I hit the limit in what I am trying to do.
