By design, that’s exactly what you want though. If the same slab is used as a background of the tank instead of solid color that will cause too much distraction on the inside content of the tank so you don’t want that.

I don't think half of the slab is behind the tank. They only put it above the tank and on the sides.

Correct. The slab only goes around the tank.

No granite on the lower wall. But there will massive decorative custom corbel under to match the rest of the decors around the house.
