I saw this on LiveAquaria today, and decided to take the plunge.

It's beautiful! About two bills shipped from LiveAquaria, kind of steep, but I couldn't pass this one up. Sure it's not the pokerstar sunrise supermanlywoman, but I just love the color! I really hope it turns out the same way when it arrives.

I'll probably frag 3 pieces off, just so that it has a chance to survive in different places.

I can't wait!!! =X

My frag tank is completely full at the moment, I'll probably sell the frags as soon as I have them.

OMG I GOT IT TODAY.

The colony was way bigger than 4"! It took me an hour to rearrange my frag rack so I could house this monster.

Firstly, the color is amazing. It is so purple, it boggles my mind. The blue is lighter than the photo, and isn't as deeply colored. I'm hoping that's because I was only using the room lights since my lights have been off. But it's definitely ridiculously powdery purple pink. The picture does it justice, which means good and bad, it's not better than the picture =P But it's still awesomely impressive.

I'll need to frag it for sure, it's way too big right now. Worth the $? Hell yes =)

It's doing great! I'm going to wait a few more days before fragging. Then I'm going to do a 3 day dip in interceptor, quick dip in TMPCC, then into the frag tank it goes! I'll probably frag a few pieces off of it once it's settled into the frag tank. So look for something late next week ;)

oh it's in the QT right now, with no clear acrylic to shoot through (scratches, neglected corraline buildup) and I don't have a top down box built right now =(

give me a few days ;)

Well Friday it took a turn for the worse. Half the colony had RTN'd in 1 day. I fragged off 12 pieces (yes, 12x1"+ frags) and only 5 survived. I inspected the whole thing for AEFW or Red Bugs or anything, but found no culprits.

I'm currently treating the frags with interceptor, lugols, and tmpcc and pristine water conditions.

It's so sad! I'm not sure what happened. All my other acro colonies are in tip top shape in the tank, and all params check out. Sometimes I guess these things just happen. It's a wild collected coral I believe, and the colony was cut funny at the base off the rock, so that could've done it.

I'll be selling 2 frags for now, maybe 3, to help cover a bit of the cost of the colony.

That's suck Art. I think they have 14 days warranty. I'm sure they can give you some store credit for that.

yeah I just emailed them, so we'll see what happens. They've always been nice about it. The colony cost so much =( Really sucks! I never spent so much on a coral before =X
