I purchased this peice at BAYMAC think its gomer or dswong01, green with orange. Was under the impression is a low light so is placed about 30 inches under a 250w mh. Growing very well but it seems to be faded or fading. What needs to change for the color to come back strong. the orange is still bright orange, but the green is not as dark, more of an olive green. The disk it came on is now completely encrusted and its now getting attached to the rock so if im going to move it better be soon. Funny part is when my atinics are on no mh the coral looks dark green like it should.

IME, those types of cyphastreas after fragged tend to loose color and only color up when they get quite large.

wow it must really like your tank. I have some stuff in the tank for a month and it's still the same. Your stuff grows after 2 weeks :o

I had that ocellina fragged in my frag tank for 6 months with a lumenarc 12 inches with only a 175 watt 10k reeflux bulb.

Time :) It isn't uncommon for a coral to lose some color when it enters a new system. Dudley's tank, to m tank, to frag tank to new tank over the course of a couple weeks is kinda stressing on the coral. I'd see how it is in a couple months.

yup, stuff grows in my tank, got some rose nebulas from iani. Started with 4 now there are 10. Amazing though how the babies just grow outta the underside one day, get a colored middle few days later, then they split off as if leaving the nest. I know, think I been watching my tank way to much to see that. Plug is right in front of my overflow must like the high light high flow. Elite stuff probably grows cuz of overfeeding lol. Im sure after Ive been in the hobby for a long time and i dont feed so religiously and test the water so much things wont sprout up quite so fast.
